About
I started pencil portraits when I was 16 in Miss Bradley’s art class. The portrait that I created in her class was the Preferred Stock cologne model who I thought was cute. (The first one in my portfolio.) Since then, I have continued to create portraits sporadically throughout the years, always yearning for more time to do them.
During the past several months, I have dedicated more time to creating portraits. I started taking a class in oil portraits recently that has taught me so much about that medium. Until recently, I had only done pencil portraits.
Since I can remember, I have been drawing faces. My mother used to find drawings of faces all over the kitchen bar where our phone sat. When I talked on the phone to my friends, I would use up the post-it note pad and doodle faces the whole time. (I am sure my mother didn’t like me wasting all of those pos-it notes!) Obviously, portraits are my passion, and I am starting to pay more attention to my inner voice and starting to do more of what I love.
Because I am now offering professional portraits, I am keeping my fees at a discounted rate for the next year, and my clients will only have to purchase the portrait if they are happy with it. I am doing this so that I can strive to work at the very best of my ability and to get every detail of you or your loved one in the portrait I create. Please see my Procedure and Fees page for more information. Or you can contact me now about commissioning a portrait.
